The Space Horse is a classic, through and through. The later-era All-City flagship model and the template for the Wilde Rambler and most o Wilde's design language. We wanted to keep an alt-bike feel on this build so we have a wide range 11-42t cassette 10-speed Apex in the back with a 40t front chainring actuated by a Ene Ciclo Uno Bar End Shifter.
This shifter was a collaboration between Merry Sales and Russ from Path Less Pedaled and enables effortless friction shifting for modern bikes as a solution to the lack of mechanical road levers available. The shifter alone retails for $160. The lever is buttery smooth and magically finds a gear since it's shifting a higher speed count cassette and since it is designed to handle up to a 12 speed the lever has a lot of throw, so while paired with a 10 speed drivetrain it moves without the stiffness you usually experience with bar end shifting.
It's mid-trail geometry with longer chain stays means it is nimble but stable. Mechanical Disc brakes are plenty of stopping power for gravel biking, and Panaracer Gravel King tires will have you churning out Columbia Trail miles with ease.
